Glendale,California - Santa Clarita Storm faced off with Sporting San Fernando in a UPSL League match up Saturday night at the Sports Complex in Glendale, California.

The Storm move in slowly as Sporting San Fernando completely controlled the first half of the Game.Santa Clarita seem to do mostly defending the first half as Sporting San Fernando recorded 7 shots on goal to Storm 2. Santa Clarita managed through to outstanding goal keeping by Storm all star keeper Kyle Cunningham who stopped all 7 attempts to keep his team even (0-0)

The Second 45 minutes bean much different as the Storm moved in and began to create some thunder of it's own with taking control of the game with 70% fo the passion. However Sporting San Fernando broke the scoreless tie with a goal in the  51st minute by Sporting's Robert Ponce when getting behind the defense and finally managed to sneak one by Cunningham and put his team up by 1.

That goal lite up the Storm has they began to take real control and started dominating the game. In the 70th minute it was Storm Center back Francisco Osuna who came up big as he took the ball from the back  and worked his way to insight of the goal and quickly even things up at 1 a piece.

Once the Storm had tied it up, it became a whole new ball game. The Storm began to come down hard as a battle began and became a bit chippy between the two.

The 49th min Sporting's Cameron Artiglere received his second yellow card and was shown the Red. Now Sporting down a man, the Storm knew they had to take advantage of that. The game became for intense and both teams continuously aggressive and lead to two more Red cards issued on for each team. Storm down down a man and Sporting playing two short.

It was the 81st  minute Santa Clarita's Christian Esnal top goal scorer , who had been playing in his natural position (defense)  moved up front of the net and received a pass from Storm's top assist getter Brett Croft who launched a long ball that found the head of Esnal who did what he does best headed the ball passed Sporting San Fernando's keeper Oswaldo Valladolid to put the Storm on top by one and that ended up the wining goal.

In the 89th minute of play  the exact play was duplicated as again it was Brett Croft on te left side of the goal launched  a high pass right to the head of once again Christian Esnal who quickly once again using his head pushed it passed Valladolid for the insurance goal as the final time score ended up 3-1 in favor of the Storm
